I am Deepak Rajput. I am pursuing my Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science at the Space Institute, The University of Tennesseee (UTSI). I joined UT in Fall 2006. I am a graduate research assistant to Dr. William Hofmeister at the Center for Laser Applications (CLA), UT Space Institute. I obtained my Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology - Trichy, India, in 2004.

Prior to joining UT, I worked in the Research and Development division of Essar Steel Limited, a premier steel making company in India. I worked here for two years in the cadre of engineers and was in charge of the Materials Characterization Laboratory.

This site was previously hosted on 3ix.org and has recently been moved to Hostmonster.com because of malware problems. The spammer embedded a malware script in all the files. It took me quite a long time to clean all the files, but the malware reappeared after few days. So I decided to move my website, and in doing so I lost most of my files because my backups didn't work. 3ix service is very pathetic and their customer support is hopeless.
